I question the minds of the people at WotC these days... I honestly really do!

So with the arrival of [Gatecrash] in our midst, spoilers have started springing left and right, bringing about a lot in the open on this set.

A few were interesting, but one caught my eye in particular.

For those who can't read Japanese:
Biovisionary
Creature - Human Wizard (R)
At the beginning of each end step, if you control four or more creatures named ~, you win the game.
2/3

Fedup with his fellow researchers' useless and longwinded speeches, he decided to create a new network of researchers that he could converse with.

When I read this, I literally went 'what in the fucking nine hells?!' Yeah I just did that.

As some of you may know, if any of you know, I mostly play EDH/Commander -read as 98% of the time- and this is completely ridiculous in terms of Alternate Win Condition.

For naught but 3 mana, you are able to do multiple things to this creature to ensure you get that 'I win at the end of your step' type of thing!

Let's do a short quick analysis in what I already thought of to make as a deck. BioClone EDH/Commander folks is now under construction!!!

So Green provides us with Ramp spells such as:

Obviously not the best of the bunch but it gives you a general idea of how much ramping you can do with it. The fact that this new creature is just 3 mana leaves you open for a lot of answers just in case your opponent decides to screw you over with things.

Being a 2/3, Biovisionary is very easy to kill with burn spells at your opponent's mercy. So obviously you're going to be looking at using counterspells or redirect effect, but green also works with protecting your creatures somewhat:

As you can see, you don't necessarily have to rely on counterspells for protecting this little mad scientist. No sir not at fucking all.

Being Blue gives you a plethora of counterspells to work with in protecting yourself and or things your opponents might do to stop your BioClone from working. It is also the primary colour that makes this alternate win condition all the much easier to pull off!

And what a plethora of spells at your disposal!!!

I wasn't joking when you had a wide variety of spells at your disposal to make this work. This is obviously only if you are attempting at just a GU EDH/Commander deck. White gives you another card to add in this list not to mention a plethora of protection spells!

Most importantly green allows you an incredible amount of ways of tutoring up the combo pieces to make this go as fast as possible!

So your general of choice? Well that's pretty easy if you're sticking to UG

I'm going to post up a Deck Tech of this once I get it completed! See you soon!
